Abstract
539,721. Shaving implements. HEIDE, H. C. (Gillette Safety Razor Co.). May 20, 1940, No. 8941. [Class 131] In a shaving implement the skin-engaging member comprises side plates 12 and a top plate 13 which is formed into shearing blades by two sets of transverse slots 14, 15, the slots 14 being open-ended and extending across the whole width of the top plate 13 while the slots 15 extend partly across the plate terminating in a closed end having a bevelled wall 23 overhanging the inner wall 20 of the side plate 12. The open ends of the slots may be bevelled or rectangular and the two sets of slots 14, 15 are arranged alternately. Fig. 10 shows a member having two series of slots, the slots 15 of one series being in alignment with the slots 14 of the other series. Specification 524,643 is referred to.
