Abstract

629,712. Dry shavers. REMINGTON RAND, Inc. Aug. 8, 1947, No. 21845. Convention date, Nov. 6, 1942. [Class 131] A protector for the head of a dry shaver comprises a U-shape member having means on the limbs of the U for detachably interlocking with ribs on the casing of the shaver. As shown a protector 7 is provided with an appropriately shaped portion 8 for each head 2 of a multiple head dry shaver and side limbs 10 with projections 11 engaging grooves 15 in the casing and having shock-absorbing protective flanges 16. The protector is applied to or removed from the shaver by pushing in the desired direction or by flexing of the portions 8, the resiliency of the portions 8 and the camming action of the faces 12, 13 allowing manipulation in both directions.
