[Class 52 (ii)] An easy chair comprises a seating portion consisting of a combined back and seat having curved side members g, h mounted to rock on bearing members f between arms a forming part of a base d. The seating portion is attached to the member f by semi-floating pivots and to the front rail by a spring q. The semi-floating pivots may comprise a pin p, Fig. 4, engaging a curved slot o in a plate m. Alternatively a vertical pin in the rail f may engage a slot in the. member h. The rails f may be straight as in Figs. 1 and 4 or convexly curved and may be provided with depressions r, Fig. 7, which also shows a floating pivot formed of pivoted links u, v.
