[Class 81 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXV An electromassage device comprises a roller having rubber massaging surfaces 17, 18 and electrical contact surfaces 14, 15, 16 connected to a generator contained in and actuated by the roller, and has an adjustable resistance, preferably in the handle, for varying the current strength. The roller comprises the multipolar magnet- 22 with pole pieces 21 and end plate 23 carrying a contact breaker. On the fixed spindle of the roller are mounted the armature 19 and winding 20. The resistance is connected between the contact rings 14 and 16, which are in contact with the frame, and the ring 15 with which contact is made by a spring plunger 33. It comprises a flexible bag containing powdered metal and carbon 37, which can be compressed to a varying degree by screwing up the cap 42 at the end of the handle.
