Abstract

532,631. Brakes for motor vehicles. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 15, 1939, No. 25921. Convention date, Sept. 28, 1938. [Class 103 (i)] A brake, having a drum engaged by shoes 15 and link means 25 pivoted to the shoes and a . fixed anchorage 21, has adjustment means for the clearance of the shoes comprising a pin 53 having axially displaced eccentric parts rotatably mounted in the link and in one of the pivoted connections. As shown in Fig. 1 the eccentric adjustment is in the connection to the shoe. In other constructions the eccentric adjustment is in the connection to the anchorage 21.
