Abstract

532,004. Corrugated paper board ; compound sheet material. EBURITE CORRUGATED CONTAINERS, Ltd., and GOLD, N. P. Aug. 11, 1939, No. 23203. [Classes 96 and 140] Two or more webs 1, 2 of paper, straw-board &c., are fed between fluted rollers 3, 4 preferably internally heated, adhesive, e.g. sodium silicate glue, gum, paste, or bituminous substance, which is applied at 6 &c. to at least one of each pair of adjacent surfaces not being set when the composite web is corrugated, further adhesive is applied at 9 to the crests of the corrugations and a backing sheet 12 applied with the aid of a smooth roll 13 whilst the webs 1, 2 are still on the roll 4. A facing sheet may also be adhered to the corrugation crests opposite the backing sheet. The corrugated ply may comprise one or more layers of textile fabric &c.
