Abstract

Complex sheet incorporating a corrugated layer of synthetic material laminated with >=1 plane sheet, the corrugations being formed between two heated corrugated rolls and coated on the crowns with adhesive before being contacted with 1 or 2 plane sheets. Pref. the corrugation carrier roll is porous and internally evacuated. Pref. the thermoplastic sheet passes over a preheater roll. For mfr. of a product similar to corrugation cored cardboard laminates but with better water resistance/barrier properties. Claims composites faced with ordinary or water resistant papers or with other synthetic sheets, e.f. a corrugated core of polystyrene sheet 60-200 mu thick faced with polystyrene paper or card sheet(s) 60-200 mu thick.
