Abstract
531,900. Folding tables. WELLS, E. G., and HOKANSON, A. E. July 11, 1939, No. 20199. [Class 52 (iii)] In a folding table of the kind wherein the top is formed of two parts 10, 11 provided with downwardly-extending walls 14, 19 connected by a hinge 34, one or both of the walls is formed as, or provided with a handle for carrying the collapsed table. As shown, the legs 24, 30 fold into the two sections, and after removal of a retaining screw 37, the sections may be closed as shown in Fig. 4. Oblong slots 35, 36 in the walls provide hand holds for use in carrying the collapsed table. The legs when opened out are retained by collapsable links 27 of the kind which automatically snap into position when fully extended. The underside of the table top may be provided with slides 43 to form receptacles for storing playing-cards or other apparatus for games. The folded table may be stored in a carton 46 provided with hand-holes registering with the hand-holes 35, 36.
