Abstract
531,573. Furnace walls. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. July 26, 1939, No. 21741. Convention date, July 26, 1938. [Class 51 (i)] The tubes 13 of elastic fluid generators such as mercury vapour boilers are maintained in contact with the walls 11, 12 of the combustion chamber so as to permit expansion of the tubes relatively to the wall by anchoring means comprising eyelets 23 welded to the tubes, groups of eyelets engaging loosely with openings 26 of plates 27 having rings 30 connected by links 31 to eye bolts 32 secured to plates 33 welded to channel beams :17, 18 arranged adjacent to an opening 14 in wall.
