Abstract

530,914. Cathode-ray tubes. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and PETERS, W. H. July 5, 1939, No. 19634. [Class 39 (i)] The focusing magnet 3 is adjustably carried between two plates 4, 5 which are supported by a number-preferably three-of screwed rods 7, nuts 8 on the rods clamping the plates on to the magnet. The rods 7 are supported from a plate 10 fixed to-say-the chassis of a television receiver, and carry a plate 11 to which padded clamps embracing the tube 2 are bolted. The deflecting coils 13, 14 with a laminated iron yoke 12 are mounted against a shoulder 21 of the tube. The plate 5 may be replaced by a loose bracket clamp or clamps fitting over the sides and front of the magnet and held in place by the screws 6.
