529,924. Pyrophoric igniters. NATIONALE SOC. ANON. June 12, 1939, No. 17138. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1938. [Class 75 (iii)] The wick cap 5 of a pyrophoric igniter is formed with projections 6 which can be inserted through notches 4 in a circular rib 3 in a guide 2 on the pivoted cover so as to form a bayonet joint retaining device and a spring 8 engaging at its upper end the rib 3 and at its lower end a shoulder 7 on the cap with considerable friction imposes a resistance against the removal of the cap. Alternatively the ends of the spring may be provided with projections engaging one with a notch 4 and the other with a notch in the shoulder 7.
