[Class 106 (v)] Liquid contained in a reservoir 1 overflows into measuring vessels 3 when the reservoir is raised relatively to a displacement member formed by a float 2. The reservoir 1 is then lowered and the liquid is delivered from the measuring vessels 3 into bottles or cartons 47 on flanges 42 at the bases of valves 43 in the vessels engaging the carton rims. The float 2 falls on the depression of the reservoir and opens a cock 7 to replenish the liquid in the reservoir. When the liquid level is slightly below the rims of the measuring vessels the float 2 closes the cock 7 and the reservoir is then raised to cause the liquid to overflow into the measuring vessels. The float 2 carries a tubular arm 9 slidable on a vertical guide rod 9a secured to the reservoir and having a cap 11 loosely engaging a crank arm 10 mounted in a bracket 12 having a split clamping collar 13 adjustably secured to a vertical column 14. The arm 10 is connected by a link 15 to the operating lever 16 of the cock 7, a pivoted split clamping block 28 and screw 29 allowing adjustment. A spring pressed roller 18 engages a recess 19 in a disc 17 on the arm 10 and delays closure of the cock 7 until the desired liquid level in the reservoir is reached. A similar notch 50 may be provided to delay opening of the cock 7. The reservoir is detachably mounted on a carriage 32 slidable on vertical guide rods. A socket 1a at the base of the rod 9a forms a stop for the float. Air vents are provided in the flanges 42.
