Abstract

495,612. Funnels. COWLEY, R. Feb. 23, 1938, No. 5765. [Class 125 (ii)] A funnel for filling containers with liquid to a pre-determined height comprises an air vent 5 which is bent over to provide a re-entrant portion 8 at its upper end, whereby liquid cannot be poured into the vent tube. The funnel may be connected to the container by a threaded member 4, or may be slidably mounted thereon by means of a cork. The position of the vent tube may be adjustable vertically, in which case the lower end of the funnel at 6 is provided with an elongated slot in co-operation with a sliding cover. Specification 199,207, [Class 125 (ii)], is referred to.
