Abstract

194,210. Green, B. E. June 6, 1922. Filling jars and like receptacles.-All liquid above a predetermined height is withdrawn from a receptacle P, containing a measured quantity of liquid or semi-liquid by a nozzle E pivoted in a gland D upon a pipe C leading downwards into the tank A connected to a suction pump or the like. The nozzle is moved into and out of the receptacle by a cam K which operates an adjustable rod G connected to the nozzle E by a short arm F, a stop S on the nozzle detetmining the depth to which it enters the receptacle.
