Abstract

12,609. Chambers, C. May 30. Moving - chamber apparatus with several chambers; varying quantity measured.-In apparatus wherein a tank having a constant level contains a measuring-cup vertically movable so that its rim can be immersed for filling and raised above the liquid when discharging, the plug cock for controlling the discharge and also the movements of the cup is positioned within the tank. In the arrangement shown, three cups 10, 11, 12 of different capacities are placed within the tank 1 and their tubular stems 13 slide within fittings containing rotary plug cocks 15. Each of these cocks is provided with a handle 20 outside the tank, and has a crank 22 connected by a pin and slot with a link 23 pivoted to an arm 25 of the cup. The bottles to be filled are placed on blocks 32 supported on spring - controlled hinged trays 27.
