Abstract
528,344. Valve generating circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and PRATLEY, H. W. May 4, 1939, No. 13368. [Class 40 (v)'] A piezo-electrically controlled oscillation genertor comprises an oscillator valve V1 having a piezo-electric crystal PE included between the grid and cathode and a parallel tuned circuit L2, C5 resonant at a desired harmonic of the crystal frequency loosely coupled by means of a condenser Cl to the anode circuit. The output at the harmonic frequency is applied through a condenser C2 to the grid of a valve V2 in the anode of which is included a parallel tuned circuit L3, C6 tuned to a higher harmonic frequency so that oscillations at this high frequency are taken off through condensers C3, C7, at the output terminal OT. The piezo-electric crystal may be connected between the grid and anode of valve VI, and a screen SB may be provided.
