Abstract
514,418. Valve circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., and GREEN, E. May 6, 1938, No. 13578. [Class 40 (v)] Spurious or parasitic oscillations in an oscillator or amplifier are reduced or eliminated by means of one or more damping circuits at least one of which comprises resistance, inductance and capacity, the circuits being connected between points where voltage at high undesired frequencies are developed and earth. Fig. 3 shows the invention as applied to a resistance-coupled amplifier stage, the resistance R2, inductance L1 and condenser C2 being connected as shown. The inductance and resistance are preferably combined as a single unit. The inductance L1 and capacity C2 are series resonant at the undesired parasitic frequency. The invention as applied to a cross neutralised high frequency push pull amplifier stage is indicated in Fig. 4, the damping circuits being R3...R8, C3...C8, whilst a corrected back coupled oscillator circuit is indicated in Fig. 6, the damping circuit being shown as RO, CO.
