Abstract
494,884. Valve generating circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. March 19, 1938, No. 8526. Convention date, March 20, 1937. [Class 40 (v)] A generator comprises a pair of valves in push-pull having a tuned output circuit and coupling between the grid and anode circuits and a tuned circuit comprising a condenser in series with two inductance coils connected in push-pull to the valve grids and between, and in series with, the coils a sharply resonant frequency stabilizing circuit or device, of substantially zero impedance at the operating frequency, shunted by resistance. The Figure shows a grid tuned circuit 16, 18, 20 and a piezoelectric crystal 26 having series inductances 28, 30 for tuning out crystal electrode and holder capacity. In place of capacitive coupling 22, 24 inductive coupling may be used between the grid and anode circuits. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a single valve oscillator in which a piezo-electric crystal shunted by a resistance is included in series in the grid circuit of a back-coupled tetrode, Fig. 2 (Cancelled) (not shown). This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
