527,758. Heating water. FRASER & FRASER, Ltd., and ANGUS, A. R. May 18, 1939, No. 14882. [Class 64 (i)] In a hot water boiler intended particularly for use in a heating system, water flows upwardly around partitions 17 in water walls 4 at the sides of the combustion chamber to upwardly inclined water tubes- 5 extending across the combustion chamber and connected to lower and upper header chambers 3, 6. Water enters the boiler through a transverse header 2 communicating at its ends with the side walls. The upper parts of the side walls communicate with the upper header chamber through restricted openings 30, 31. The plates forming the walls of water and furnace spaces may be welded together, or the headers and walls may be made in parts adapted to be assembled by bolts.
