527,041. Effervescent compositions. HENKEL & CIE GES. March 29, 1939, No. 9822. Convention date, March 18, 1938. [Class 81 (i)] [Also in Groups III and XXI] Solid products evolving carbon dioxide when added to water are prepared by mixing carbonates or bicarbonates (e.g. sodium bicarbonate) with aminosulphonic acid NH 2 , SO 3 H. Additional substances comprise perfumes, colouring substances, salts (e.g. sodium chloride, alkali phosphate, alkali perborate) colloidal kaolin, starch, dextrin, gelatine &c., sugar, talc, chamomile extract, tar, colloidal sulphur, iron salts, borotartrates, borotannates, lecithin, soap substitutes, alcohol sulphonates, taurines substituted by higher fatty acid residues, sodium cholate, saponin, the sodium salt of cellulose ether carbonytic acid. The dry mixture may be pressed into tablets and can be used for medicinal baths &c. and for the production of carbon dioxide in compressed form.
