Abstract
526,068. Calculating-apparatus. OLIVETTI S.A.M.O.A., and LEVI, R. March 7, 1939, No. 7451. [Class 106 (i)] An item indicator for a ten-key machine is carried by the laterally movable stop carriage 1 and comprises a set of elements 16 slidably movable in slots 15 in the carriage each element being connected by a link 17 to a pivoted plate 18, carrying the display sectors 23. The elements 16 are normally held by the zero-stops 13 but when a key is depressed the aligned stop 13 is raised and the appropriate numeral stop 8 is depressed to limit the travel of the element under the control of the spring 20. The end of the slot 15 acts as a stop when the "9" key is depressed and the ends of the elements 16 remote from the stops 8 co-operate with the totalizer actuating racks 25 to limit their movement.
