[Class 4] [Also in Group XIII] Cooling apparatus for oil or other liquid used in an aircraft engine comprises a cooler 10, through which the liquid is circulated, an air intake 11 facing the direction of flight, and a cowl 21 around the cooler and intake forming an air passage discharging through an orifice 23 between the front of the cowl and the outturned lip 14 of the air intake. The cowl is supported independently of the cooler and intake.
