Abstract

525,263. Draught regulators for furnaces &c. BODLAENDER, R., and BILTON & SONS, Ltd., T. B. Jan. 17, 1939, No. 1598. [Class 51 (i)] An automatic air admission damper plate 1, Fig. 2, for chimneys or flues of furnaces, stoves and the like adapted to control the air admission opening 8a in a casing 8 connected by a short pipe 14 to the chimney or flue and suspended by a rod 2 from a counterweighted lever 4 is prevented from swinging from its verti cal path of movement by means of a link 9 pivoted to the rod 2 and casing 8 and arranged parallel with the lever 4. In a modification shown in Fig. 4, the damper plate 1 is suspended by a flexible tape 17 from a point on a sector 15 arranged concentrically with the pivot of the lever 4 and is provided with a rod 18 which is guided by an eye 19 on a member 20 fixed to the casing 8.
