Abstract

524,512. Hot water supply systems. PURCHAS, K. A. Jan. 31, 1939, No. 3270. [Class 64 (i)] To prevent freezing in the cold-water cistern of a hot-water supply system, warm water from the hot-water tank is circulated through a panel H in the cistern. The expansion pipe C opens into the panel at a point below the water level in the cistern, and a pipe D connects the bottom of the panel to the return pipe of the boiler. The rising main A extends vertically through the panel.
