[Class 73] [Also in Groups XXVIII, VIII, XVI and XVII] In a turret machine for producing fibre can bodies by winding strip material on a mandrel a label container 270 for each can body is pivoted on a shaft 278. A stack of labels 273 is arranged on an inclined plate 272 so that they are stepped, a spring urged slide 274 pressing the uppermost label on to the mandrel 17 to which it is transferred by a roll 400. The label containers are rocked out of the path of the mandrel by a cam 294 and lever 286.
