Abstract
307,356. Jagenberg-Werke Akt.-Ges. March 5, 1928, [Convention date]. Labelling.-A machine for applying labels to the inside of arched or shaped box parts comprises means for moving the box parts in succession past a rotary labelling machine working with a gripper cylinder which temporarily enters the box part to apply the label thereto, the box part passing to a reciprocating pressure member which secures the label. The labels are supplied from a reciprocating pile 6 to a gummed separator 4 from which the label is taken by a gripper 9. The box parts 2, shown as lids, are fed along a track 1 by pushers 7. When in position under the gripper 9 they are raised by a frame 10 so that the label 16 is applied to the inside of the lid, the movement of the frame 10 being timed so that the gripper 9 presses the middle of the label into contact with the lid. The lids then pass under a pressing pad 15 which presses the label into contact at all points.
