Abstract

523,440. Wireless receiving apparatus. JACKSON, D., and PYE, Ltd. Jan. 3, 1939, No. 13025. Divided out of 523,372. [Class 40 (v)] Screening cans are held in position on the chassis of radio, television or like apparatus by means of clips engaging opposite sides of the can by means of co-operating projections and holes or indentations on the clips and the sides of the cans. As shown a number of rectangular screening cans 10 are held by clips 6 upstanding from the chassis 4. The cans are formed with spherical depressions 2, 3 which engage corresponding projections on the clips. The projections and depressions are so positioned that the bottom edge of the can is forced into close contact with the chassis to make good electrical connection. When valve holders are located on the underside of the chassis the lugs may be arranged across a diameter of the hole in the chassis between the input and output terminals of the valve holder. The lug may be provided with a clip to serve as an earthing connection for the valve holder.
