339,832. Gramophone Co., Ltd., and Stanley, H. H. V. Jan. 10, 1930. Transformers. - A combined housing and screen for electrical components such as the low frequency transformers use in wireless sets comprises a pair of principal parts 1, 2 shaped to receive the transformer &c. between them and provided with slots or grooves 8 adapted to receive top and bottom plates 5, 6. Side members 10 having inturned edges 11 adapted to engage formations 9 on the principal parts are provided for clamping the principal parts round the transformer &c. Lugs 12, 13 are provided at opposite ends of the members 10, the upper lugs serving to secure the top plate 5 in position whilst the lower lugs form means for securing the device to a panel or base. One or both of the end plates 5, 6 may be made of insulating material.
