Abstract

521,614. Mixing-appliances. BLYTHE, G. E. K., and FRASER, R. P. Nov. 23, 1938, No: 34047. [Class 86] A finely divided solid is mixed with a liquid by feeding the solid to the inside of a converging conical stream of liquid which then passes through a Venturi. The solid is fed to a conical aperture B in a block A to which is screwed a member H shaped so as to form a tapering annular passage L through which the liquid is forced. The end of the member is Venturishaped and forms with the casing O a further annular passage M through which liquid is forced. The liquid is supplied by a pipe F and passes to the passage L through holes J. Shims R and Q enable the passages L, M to be adjusted. Specification 432,191 is referred to.
