[Class 13] [Also in Group XXXIX] A long straight flared horn 1, 2 is connected to a loud-speaker movement 3 by a curved tube 4 in which a drainage plug 5 is provided. The loud-speaker is mounted so that the diaphragm of the movement 3, which is approximately parallel to the axis of the horn, is above the throat member 4 so that moisture driving into the horn does not damage the diaphragm. The horn 1, 2 and the tube 4 may be made in one piece. Specifications 222,961, 246,546, 257,747 and 311,835, [all in Class 13], are referred to.
