Abstract
521,366. Control of two motors; actuating controllers. FABBRICA ITALIANA MAGNETI MARELLI. Nov. 16, 1938, No. 33369. Convention date, Nov. 17, 1937. [Class 38 (iii)] Searchlights, firearms &c. are oriented by electric motors. Upon operation of an actuating member 51 to the left or right a corresponding plunger 30 or 30<1> is operated after a certain idle movement and contacts are operated to energise a corresponding contactor coil 21, or 35, to connect a motor Mo to a source 3 with the corresponding field winding 1 or 2 in circuit so that the motor operates in the corresponding direction. If the plunger' is further displaced contacts are operated to energise a coil 42 which closes contacts to cut out a resistance 39 and speed up the motor. Similar control of a motor Me ds effected by moving the member 51 upwardly or downwardly to actuate plungers 49', 49.
