520,835. Gas-filled incandescent lamps. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Oct. 31, 1938, No, 31517. Convention date, Nov. 2, 1937. [Class 39 (ii)] Hydrogen or hydrogen compounds which may be occluded from the metal parts of an incandescent lamp having a filling of rare gas and nitrogen are absorbed without affecting the nitrogen by metallic zirconium in the form of powder, wire or foil placed at a point in the lamp at which the temperature is confined to the range 200‹C. to 600‹C. Such points are the pinch and the supply conductors and, in the case of a small lamp for motor-cars, on the screen which surrounds the filament.
