520,069. Driving-mechanism for cycles &c. PEROLINO, M. A. MARTEN-. April 4, 1939, No. 10513. Convention date, Nov. 16, 1938. [Class 136 (ii)] In driving - mechanism for cycles &c. of the type comprising a driving-chain and a flywheel driven directly thereby, the pedal crankshaft is connected by a freewheel clutch to the driving-sprocket b, and the driving- chain c is looped forward as shown so as to drive a small sprocket j on the shaft of the flywheel a, which is located below the centre of gravity of the whole mechanism. The flywheel a is mounted on the cycle frame by means of two pairs of supporting- rods d, h bolted to clamps on the down tube e and crank bracket g respectively. On the application of the brake, the flywheel is disconnected from the driving-mechanism by a clutch controlled by the brake mechanism.
