Abstract
519,883. Aerials. BELLING & LEE, Ltd., and STRAFFORD, F. R. W. Oct. 3, 1938, No. 28635. [Class 40 (v)] The spacing rod 3 mechanically connecting and supporting a dipole 1 and its reflector 2 is electrically connected to the reflector 2. The rod 3 may be made of brass or aluminium and the reflector is supported by a saddle and lug 8, 10, having corresponding recesses 9. The aerial is supported in an insulator 6 bolted to a lug 7. Alternatively the end of the rod 3 may be threaded to receive a bolt passing through a hole drilled in the centre of the aerial or reflector rod. The spacing member may also be tubular and provided with sleeves at each end through which the aerial and reflector rods pass.
