518,340. Weft inserters for shuttleless looms. UNITED ELASTICS, Ltd., and VORCK, T. Sept. 9, 1938, No. 26353. [Class 142 (ii)] [Also in Groups VIII and VII] The inserter, in the form of a latch needle, comprises a thread guide consisting of a spring strip 3 mounted on the needle, or, as shown, on the block which holds the needle. Two forms. are shown. These two forms may be mounted one on each side of the needle, or two of either form may be so mounted. As the needle moves forward the thread passes between the guide and the needle head.
