Abstract

517,899. Suspending curtains and valances. BARROS, J. Aug. 24, 1938, No. 24896. [Class 52 (v)] An expanding curtain or valance support comprises a tension spring 2 having a loop 1 or the like at one end and a tubular or coniform bottlenecked portion at the other end adapted to receive or engage a rod 5, Fig. 1, tube 6, Fig. 2, cone 8, Figs. 4 and 6, a rod with a nut on the end or a knotted cord or wire. When a cord or wire is used, the knot is prevented from pulling through the bottle-neck by a domed washer. The cone 8 conducts the curtain rings smoothly on to the spring.
