517,300. Trucks with suspended load. JEFFRIES, R. A. July 20, 1938. No. 21582. [Class 108 (i)] A truck for transporting loads such as pipes &c, comprises a cranked axle 11 with a substantial horizontal portion carrying a pole 15 and a winding drum 20 operated by ratchet and wheel 22, 21, for raising articles engaged by grips 27. The truck is provided with a platform 23 slotted at the sides to pass around the stub axles 13 and locked thereto by a pin which rests on the top of the axle. Stays 26 are attached at one end of the platform and to the pole 15. The tray can be used for the transport of tools, cables and similar items.
