517,115. Treating textiles. SCHWARZ, E. M., ZSCHIMMER, F. O., ZSCHIMMER, G. E., SCHWARZ, G. M. W., and SCHWARZ, F. W. R. [trading as ZSCHIMMER & SCHWARZ CHEMISCHE FABRIK DOLAU]. Feb. 3, 1938, No. 3461. Convention date, Feb. 3, 1937. [Class 15 (ii)] Regenerated cellulose fabrics or threads are revivified or softened by treatment with high molecular alkyl ethers of oxyalkylamines having more than two hydroxyl groups in the molecule or salts thereof. The term " high molecular alkyl ethers" denotes ethers obtainable by etherifying oxyalkylamines with alcohols containing at least 8 carbon atoms in the molecule. A treating bath containing 2 grms. of the dicetylether of triethanolamine per litre is stated to give good results. Specification 466,817 is referred to.
