[Class 51 (i)] [Also in Group XIII] A liquid fuel furnace for heating two or more boiling pans a, b consists of a combustion chamber or flue in the upper part of which the boiling pans are arranged, baffles f, g with inclined surfaces being arranged beneath the pans to direct the gases from the burner e towards the pans. The combustion chamber or flue may be of undulating form in elevation with the pans arranged at the crests of the undulations. The baffles f, g may be of increasing height towards the end of the chamber remote from the burner. The gases leaving the combustion chamber may pass direct to the chimney or to a hollow tray or table l at one end of the chamber. In a modification a burner heats two combustion chambers arranged in alignment on opposite sides, of the burner.
