Abstract

516,226. Moulding concrete blocks &c. CLARKE, E. June 13, 1938, No. 17532. [Class 87 (ii)] A movable member 11 adapted to form a recess in the finished brick or block occupies the position shown in dotted lines during the filling of the mould. When the material is pressed by a tamper 21, the member 11 is moved downwardly against the action of springs 14 and of a counterweighted lever 16. At the end of the tamping operation, the outer end of the lever 16 is locked against further movement by its engagement with a spring latch 20 the operation of which may cause the ejection of the article from the mould.
