[Class 61 (ii)] [Also in Group XXV] A joint clamp for connecting timbers in building or erecting operations has a rigid web 3 extending unweakened between the spikes 4 and the ends of the web projecting beyond the spikes enabling hammer blows to be struck perpendicularly to the portions carrying the spikes to fix the device. The ends 7 may be of reduced width enabling the device to be easily levered from the boards 1, 2. Fig. 5 shows a forged clamp with extensions 9 fixed thereon.
