Abstract
490,943. Scaffolding ;staging. BANNISTER, C. Feb. 23, 1937, No. 5463. [Class 20 (ii)] The planks 2, 3, used for the staging of scaffolding, spectator stands, and like structures, are secured to the metal tubular members 1 of the supporting framework by flat hook members 4, each having a downwardly extending lateral opening for receiving a tube and a broad shank 5 terminating in a flange or flanges 6, 7, extending on one or both sides of the hook and at rightangles thereto. Just sufficient space is left between the flanges and the tube for the reception of the planks which may be secured in position by nails passing through holes 9, 10 in the flanges. End planks may each be secured by a nail passing through a hole 8 in the shank.
