578,349. Glazing bars. WILLIAMS & WILLIAMS, Ltd., WILLIAMS, J. FOX-, and MADDOX, A. M. Sept. 7, 1944, No. 17106. [Class 20 (iii)] A glazing bar A comprises a web having at one or both sides an abutment A<3> against which the glass is held by the arm B<2> of an L-section cover strip, the other arm B of which extends down between the edge of the glass and the web and is formed with an end enlargement B<1> which engages in a socket formed below the plane of the glass and between the web and the abutment A<3>; the cover strip is locked by a wedge D driven between it and the web. In the construction shown the sockets for the ends B<1> of the locking bar are channels formed by ribs A<5> with overhanging tops A<6>. The wedges may be corrugated so that they are resilient.
