[Class 64 (i)] .A washing copper g is superposed on a domestic boiler b to form a single, portable, selfcontained unit which has a damper i so that flue gas from the grate a<1> of the boiler may be diverted to heat the copper or may be bye - passed directly from the boiler to a chimney d. Side walls of the boiler may contain water, which may be fed when hot from a tap on the flow pipe to the copper. Flue gas passes by an opening c when the copper is to be heated, past the damper i, which is operated from a rod j round a baffle h<2> on the copper to an opening d' in the chimney.
