Abstract
510,410. Generating combustion products under pressure. , JUNKERS FLUGZEUGUND-MOTORENWERKE AKT.-GES. Nov. 3, 1938, No. 31849. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1937. [Class 51 (i)] A combustion chamber 1, Fig. 1, for generating combustion products under pressure for power purposes has metal walls, such as steel plate, which are cooled by air flowing along the inside of the wall to form a protective layer. The chamber is provided with an outer jacket 5 to provide an air space 8 from which air flows through transverse slits 6 and along the chamber wall in the direction of flow of the gases which are produced by liquid, gaseous or pulverulent fuel introduced through pipes 3 and combustion air through passages 4. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a jacketed combustion chamber 11, Fig. 2 (Cancelled), provided with fuel inlets 12 and air supply passages 16, 20 leading from a source which also supplies air to the jacket. This subject-niatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
