508,119. Charge forming devices ; induction pipes. ELLIOTT, A. G. March 9, 1938, No. 7396. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii)] Mixture is supplied to the intake orifice 20 of a centrifugal blower 11 by a plurality of separate mixture passages 19 and is delivered through a plurality of outlet passages 12, each serving a separate cylinder or group of cylinders. Guide vanes may be provided where'the passages 19 enter the eye of the blower and these passages may be arranged horizontally or vertically. In the 24 cylinder X-engine shown the blower is arranged at one end of the engine and each outlet passage 12 is divided by partition 31 and leads into a manifold 13 divided into-two parts 15, 16 by a partition 14, each part supplying three cylinders of a bank 10.
