507,076. Hydraulic power transmitters. ORLANDO, L. E. Dec. 11, 1937, No. 34378. Convention date, Dec. 11, 1936. [Class 69, (ii)] A hydraulic power transmission and torque multiplying device. of the F÷ttinger type comprises an impeller having rigid blades A, Fig. 3, and a two-stage turbine, the first stage of which comprises elastically deformable blades B and the second stage of which comprises rigid blades D of the same shape as the blades of the impeller, the two turbine stages being connected together for common rotation and the blade rows thereof being separated by a row of elastically deformable blades C carried by a member constituting a reaction member. The elastically deformable blades may, as shown in Fig; 4d, be anchored at one end; alternatively, as shown in Fig. 10, they may be anchored at both ends.
