Abstract

210,288. English Electric Co., Ltd., and Chittenden, J. P. Feb. 1, 1923. Blades.-In turbine rotors of the kind in which the blades are attached by the engagement of their roots with undercut grooves in the rim of the rotor the grooves are formed at an appreciable inclination to the plane through the axis of the rotor. The blades may be formed so that their roots are parallel with the line joining the edges 4, 5 of the blade. Flanges 2, 6 are provided at their outer and inner ends and these form a locking device tending to check endwise movement of the blades.
