Abstract

504,357. Sliding- - clasp fastenings. LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd. (Carlile, A. E.) Oct. 22, 1937, No. 28928. [Class. 44] A sliding-clasp fastener of the completely separable type has means on one of the members of the completely separable end-fitting for cooperating with the slider to retain the latter in position. For instance the slider 13 has recesses 16 on-the inner faces of its top and bottom plates 14, 15 into which can enter projections 22 formed on an upwardly extending portion 21 of the socket member 20. With the slider so retained in accurate position the removal and insertion of the pin member 23 of the completely separable end fitting is facilitated. The edge of the slider is bevelled at 25 to ensure-alignment of the projections 22 and recesses 16. The slider plates are slightly resilient.
