Abstract

503,181. Bolting; bolts. LINDSAY, Ltd., H., and LINDSAY, H. Sept. 12, 1938, No. 26543. [Class 89 (i)] In clamping girders and the like together with the aid of hooked bolts or adaptors as described in Specifications 411,400, 461,953, and 483,121, the bolts or adaptors are'supported with the aid of a plate member through which the bolt passes. As shown in Figs. 2 and 3 the plate member 1 has an aperture 2 for the hook bolt 3 and an upstanding lug 4 for engaging the back of the bolt head. In Fig. 6 is shown a plate member with a forked part 7, through which a bolt 3, Fig. 8, passes, and with upstanding lugs 4 supporting the adaptor 9, a spur 8 on the latter being arranged between the lugs. Serrations on the prongs prevents the plate from rising.
